Why have a Newsletter?

Newsletters are one of the best email marketing tools. Newsletters inform the public, customers, shareholders, and partners about the wonderful things happening in your business. It's a way to stay connected.

"The Artist" was the newsletter I initiated and published for the Socorro ISD Fine Arts Department. Its purpose was to inform parents about everything FINE ARTS-related: updates, events, performances, student awards, teachers going above and beyond, community happenings, and why the arts matter. Most importantly, it showcased the wonderful things happening in the SISD Fine Arts department.

Initiating the SISD Newsletter was a requirement of my job description.
I chose the name "The Artist", took the photos, decided on content, conducted interviews, wrote stories with assistance from the department writer, and designed the pages.

I created these pages to highlight the exceptional accomplishments of our schools and students, while also offering the community a direct means of contacting educators. I took the photographs, curated the content, and designed the layout.
